SKINS 6: We Are Past the Halfway Point

So with that said, here’s how I think the rest of the season will play out.

I’m basing all of this on spoilers, trailers, cast twitter remarks, and ongoing speculation.

First up is…

Episode 6x06 - Nick

I predict:

Nick will be caught between a rock and a hard place.

With Matty still stuck in Morocco, Nick will feel obligated, as his brother and the only one Matty has left, to get him home.

But does he really want him back?

With everything that’s happened, plus his developing feelings for Franky, he isn’t so sure, which is why he may end up subconsciously sabotaging Mattys return.

How?

Well predict Nick will drown his pain and confusion in alcohol and drugs, altercations with Alex, the random he meets at the 48 hour rave, and by the end of his episode - a spur of the moment hook up with Franky as well.

At the beginning of the episode though, as a means to getting Matty home, Nick will resort to drastic measures.

Nick will offer to push drugs for that creepy guy in exchange for a cut of the profits, blow the money hes made at the rave while drunk, and then he’ll be screwed.

Not only will he not have the money to pay back the drug guy, but he wont have it to get Matty home either.

Alex will try to help him, but Nick wont be responsive to him.

Eventually, Nick confides in Rich, the last person who probably has any sympathy for Matty. The two have a talk over a cold one and Rich basically forces Nick to see the reality of the situation, and thats that Matty is a criminal now. That regardless of how much Nick loves Matty, he needs to realize that he made a bad choice by fleeing the scene of the crash, and that he has to face the consequences of that choice.

Rich may not direcly say all that, but this will probably be the conclusion Nick comes to based on what he does say.

Nick will then be faced with a very hard decision: betray his brother by turning him in/refusing to help him get back to Bristol, or put himself in more danger by helping him.

However, I think by the end of the episode, Matty will be in police custody, and Nick will no longer have that decision to make.

I also think Franky/Nick end the episode as friends, regardless of their momentary hook up/Nicks feelings.

Nicks issues with the drug guy may end at the end of the episode, or they may be left ambiguous, turning into a plot that carries on throughout the rest of the season (I hope not though).

Nick/Alex will make up by the end of the episode, but I think Nick will make it very clear that their kiss was just a one time go around.

Mini will be absent most of this episode.

Nick & Rich will form more of a friendship.

Main focus in this ep will (unfortunately IMO) be Nick/Franky, Franky, Nick/Matty, and possibly Franky/Matty as well.

Episode predictions for 6x07, Alo’s ep, will be up after tonight’s episode.
